Corona requirements: Helge Schneider cancels beach chair concerts

After a concert was canceled a few days ago, Helge Schneider canceled other planned concerts. For him, the format with special Corona requirements “unfortunately does not fit,” explains the entertainer.

Entertainer Helge Schneider has canceled his other concerts as part of the Strandkorb Open Air format. Schneider and the organizer announced this on Tuesday.

Schneider has respect for the great commitment of the organizer, who with the new concept made live concerts possible in a larger setting in front of an audience, according to the announcement published on Schneider’s homepage. For him personally, the format “unfortunately not” fits.

This means that the dates on August 19 in Mönchengladbach (North Rhine-Westphalia), August 27 in Bochum (North Rhine-Westphalia), September 1 in Hartenholm (Schleswig-Holstein), September 13 in St. Wendel (Saarland) and September 17 in Hoppegarten are no longer applicable (Brandenburg).

The 65-year-old tailor (“cat toilet”) canceled an appearance at the open air beach chair in Augsburg last Friday. Tickets for Augsburg and the other concerts could be returned where they were bought. Both parties were also suitable for a joint donation of 20,000 euros for the victims of the flood disaster in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland Palatinate, in order to show “that the financial aspect was just as little in the foreground of the decision as any criticism of the beach chair Event format ».
