The news comes a week after the streamer also revealed that it had given a series order to a Reacher spinoff starring Maria Stenreprising her mothership fan-favorite character, Frances Neagley.
An early renewal for the fourth season is certainly a vote of confidence on the part of Prime Video, something that is to be expected considering that the series has become a hit. The second season was Amazon’s most watched premiere in 2023. The second season premiered on December 15, and in three days, those episodes surpassed the entire audience of the first season by 50%.
“Reacher has become a phenomenon that continues to resonate with our global customers beyond our wildest expectations and we are thrilled to bring the series back for an additional season,” said Vernon Sanders, head of television, Amazon MGM Studios. “We look forward to more action and adventure from the immensely talented team behind the series, including Nick Santora, Alan Ritchson, Lee Child, Skydance and CBS Studios.”
When does Reacher season 3 premiere?
Season 3, based on the seventh book in the series Lee Child, Persuaderwill not debut until 2025. An exact release date is not yet known.
In the next season, Reacher must go undercover to rescue an informant held by an enemy who is pursuing him from his past.
the star Alan Ritchson returns to Maria Sten, Anthony Michael Hall, Sonya Cassidy, Brian Tee, Johnny Berchtold, Robert Montesinos, Daniel David Stewart and Olivier Richters.
Child also executive produces the series for Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television and CBS Studios. Reacher is written for television by Nick Santora (FUBAR, Prison Break), who is also executive producer and showrunner.
In addition to Santora and Child, Ritchson will executive produce, along with Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Mick Betancourt, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Matt Thunell for Skydance. Carolyn Harris and Kenny Madrid are the executives in charge of the series for Skydance Television.
