With the Met Gala, the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum in New York collects millions in donations every year – and attracts countless stars. Big names have already announced themselves for 2025.
Stars such as actor Colman Domingo, musicians Pharrell Williams and A$AP Rocky as well as athletes Lewis Hamilton and LeBron James are expected to co-host the Met Gala next year. This time the exhibition “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” will be opened with the spectacle, announced the Metropolitan Museum in Central Park in New York.
The star-studded gala traditionally takes place in the museum on the first Monday in May. Often referred to as the “Party of the Year,” the Met Ball is an annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute. The hosts also include “Vogue” boss Anna Wintour. The proceeds from the “Costume Institute Benefit” form the annual budget of the institute, which is now named after Wintour.
