Actor and singer: Hugh Jackman returns to the show stage

“Wolverine” star and singer Hugh Jackman is planning a show in New York lasting several months in 2025. His colleague and good friend Ryan Reynolds is only there as a spectator, as they both joke.

Hollywood star Hugh Jackman (55) announced his return to the show stage with a funny video. From January to July 2025, the actor and singer is planning a dozen performances at New York’s famous Radio City Music Hall. The concert series “From New York, With Love” is set to feature music from Jackman’s previous musical and film roles such as “The Boy from Oz,” “Les Misérables” and “Greatest Showman.”

Jackman announces this with a wink in a joint video with his colleague and co-star Ryan Reynolds (47). In the clip, Jackman speaks directly into the camera while sitting on a sofa. A good two years ago, Reynolds sat here and announced that he, Jackman, would star in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” says the Australian native. They had the best time, he enthuses about their collaboration on the Marvel blockbuster. And now he’s wondering what’s next.

“Hey, Ryan, do you want to come to one of my live performances at Radio City Music Hall?” Jackman says as Reynolds walks through the frame behind him. Reynolds casually asked whether he would be on stage with him. “Yes,” Jackman assures, while at the same time shaking his head negatively and whispering into the camera with a grin: “This is my time.” At the end of the clip, he promises Reynolds that he might be allowed to watch a rehearsal from a distance. The two stars are known to be good friends who like to make fun of each other.

In addition to his film work, Jackman (“X-Men”) is known as a singer and stage star. On New York’s Broadway he took part in the musical classic “The Music Man”. He won a Tony Award in 2004 for “The Boy from Oz” and later sang in movie musicals such as “Les Misérables” and “Greatest Showman.” Jackman also performed in Germany in 2019 as part of his world tour with the show “The Man. The Music. The Show”.
