The lifeless body of the 31-year-old former Sheffield United player was found at his home in Glyfada, on the outskirts of Athens, according to the same source, which did not offer further details about the circumstances of the death.
Born in Buckingham, England, Baldock held dual Greek and English nationality. In May he signed a three-year contract with Panathinaïkos.
Of Greek origin through one of his grandfathers, he joined the national team in 2022 and had played 12 games.
