Even 25 years after her death in a plane crash, Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s style is still considered legendary. Now several of her clothes are being auctioned off.
Several items of clothing belonging to Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, who died in a plane crash around 25 years ago, are being auctioned off. These are two coats – one black, one with a leopard print – and a black combination of blazer and skirt, as the auction house Sotheby’s announced. Anyone interested can bid on the pieces online between November 27th and December 17th.
Bessette-Kennedy, born in 1966, married the president’s son John F. Kennedy Junior in 1996 and became known as a style icon. In 1999, the couple and Bessette-Kennedy’s sister Lauren Bessette died in a plane crash off the island of Martha’s Vineyard on the US East Coast.
