Oliver Pocher and Pietro Lombardi are friends and live close by. And so the comedian and ex-wife Sandy Meyer-Wölden heard about the police operation in Lombardi’s house.
Oliver Pocher and Pietro Lombardi have been friends for years. They get along so well that Lombardi even let Pocher and his ex-wife Amira Aly stay with him when their house was uninhabitable after the flood disaster in 2021.
Today Pocher and Lombardi are neighbors, both living in a posh district of Cologne. Pocher’s other ex-wife Sandy Meyer-Wölden now also lives there.

And so both Pocher and Meyer-Wölden involuntarily witnessed the police operation on Lombardi and his fiancée Laura Maria Rypa on the night of October 7th. “I think a little hurricane has hit the Lombardis,” says Meyer-Wölden at the beginning of her new podcast episode “The Pochers! Freshly recycled” (exclusively on Podimo). The 41-year-old is currently in Miami, where she also has a residence and where there is a “state of emergency” due to Hurricane Milton. But back to Cologne, Pocher and Lombardi. “Funnily enough, I saw blue lights in front of Pietro’s house,” says Pocher. “It’s just around the corner from us.”
Meyer-Wölden was also still in Cologne at the time and noticed the operation. “There was a huge police operation and I thought to myself: Wow,” she says. The two believe that “at least four large vans” were on site. Pocher then tries to classify the incident and makes it clear that there is no evidence yet. “The question is: How, where, what, when exactly happened. In any case, they had an argument and that happens in the best families. This is such a classic. The question is always who calls the police, when and why.” , explains the comedian.

According to the “Bild” newspaper, it was Lombardi’s girlfriend Rypa who called the police. “This happened due to Ms. Rypa’s high level of emotional excitement following the verbal argument,” the “Bild” quoted Lombardi’s lawyer, Simon Bergmann, as saying. “Since, as explained, our client did not use any violence against his fiancée nor did he injure her, the allegation of domestic violence is emphatically rejected.” Lombardi is not allowed to approach his fiancée in the coming days and is not allowed to enter their house for the time being. It is a normal process “when there is an allegation of domestic violence.”

Meyer-Wölden uses the opportunity to raise awareness about domestic violence. While Pocher tries to put things into perspective, she says that “many women in Germany have already been victims of domestic violence.” A danger that “doesn’t stop at status, money, background”. “I too have been through toxic relationships,” she reveals. “It works both ways. A shitty relationship is a shitty relationship,” replies her ex-husband.
He doesn’t believe there will be professional consequences for Pietro Lombardi. The current DSDS episodes are recorded. “At RTL, everyone shouldn’t pretend to be holier than they are. They have ‘Sommerhaus der Stars’ and ‘Temptation Island’ and they’re all about making it bang and rattle. I find that a bit difficult,” rumbles he. Meyer-Wölden, on the other hand, calls for consequences as soon as it amounts to more than just accusations. “We both know Pietro and his wife – you feel completely sorry and have compassion and empathy when a situation escalates like that,” she says.
