How to make the best chocotorta according to Betular
Betular considers that chocotorta is easy but it has its tricks, he recommends that since there are few ingredients, they are of quality. He also points out that he recognizes that there are many people who use cream instead of cheese, but that if you want to achieve a perfect consistency you will have to use cheese or add flavorless gelatin to the cream.
Ingredients:
- A pot of cream cheese
- A pot of pastry dulce de leche to make it more solid
- A large package of chocolate cookies
- Black coffee
Step by step:
- Mix the dulce de leche with the cream cheese until everything comes together and there are no lumps. You have to use the same quantities of the two ingredients.
- Moisten the cookies in the coffee and coat them well. It is essential that the cookies are not dry, otherwise the dessert will be ruined.
- In the container you choose, place a base of already wet cookies and with a spoon add coffee drops. On top of that you are going to put a layer of the cheese and dulce de leche mixture.
- You are going to repeat this process at least 3 times. It is important that the cake has a minimum height of 6 cm
- Finally, the dessert must be left in the refrigerator for at least a whole day. For this reason, Betular recommends that if the cake is for a birthday or an event, you make it the night before and if you can, two nights before is better.
