The lawyer confirmed the dispute. However, he denies that Pietro Lombardi hit his partner Laura Maria Rypa. “Since, as explained, our client did not use any violence against his fiancée nor did he injure her, the accusation of domestic violence is emphatically rejected,” says defense attorney Simon Bergmann. When asked by Lombardi’s house broadcaster RTL, the hospital rejected reports that the university hospital had filed a complaint against Pietro Lombardi for bodily harm.

“Bild” first reported on a heated argument in Lombardi’s Cologne villa on October 7th. Laura Maria Rypa called the police and went to the hospital with their son Amelio. The next day, Lombardi and Rypa published two identical posts on their Instagram profiles. “The press is trying to aggravate the conflict even more and often doesn’t take certain statements very seriously. We don’t want that, so we won’t give it a platform here and will act in the interests of our children so that the public is kept out of it.”
