Country star Brantley Gilbert (39) will certainly never forget this concert: On Friday, the American was on stage in Tupelo, Mississippi, when he got the news that his wife Amber was in labor on the tour bus.
In one , the events can be partially seen. Gilbert immediately breaks off the concert in the clip and runs towards the tour bus. Next we see the baby and Gilbert tearfully informing his mother about the new grandson on the phone. She asks how Amber is doing, and Gilbert answers with a laugh: “She’s a damn savage!”
Gilbert also discusses the unusual birth in the caption. “Watching such an incredible woman do something so incredible is something I will never forget,” he writes, among other things, about the “craziest night of my life.” Images from the video show the mother lying on the seats of the tour bus wrapped in a blanket and beaming at her newborn. The musician goes on to thank his wife “for allowing me to love you and for showing me exactly how incredibly strong a woman can be.”
The concert continued straight away: “We have a baby!”
The birth doesn’t seem to have lasted particularly long: after the phone call with his mother, the musician went on stage again. There he greeted fans with the announcement: “We have a baby!” and was congratulated by his band mates before he finished the concert.
The new addition is the couple’s third child together. Gilbert and his wife have been married since 2015 and also have son Barrett (6) and daughter Braylen (5).
