Former action hero Bruce Willis is “stable for his standards,” his ex-wife Demi Moore has now reported.
Demi Moore (61) spoke about her ex-husband Bruce Willis (69)’s dementia during a discussion at the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival on October 13th. “You know, I’ve said this before. The disease is what the disease is. And I think you really have to accept it,” said the actress.
Willis, who was also diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia last year – after aphasia in spring 2022 – is “but stable in his current condition”. Moore therefore tries not to cling to the past: “If you hold on to what was, it’s a losing game. But if you come and meet them at eye level, you’ll find a lot of beauty and sweetness.”
Demi Moore was married to Bruce Willis from 1987 to 2000. They have three daughters together: Rumer (36), Scout (33) and Tallulah (30).
Meeting just two days ago
At the event where she was honored with the Career Achievement in Acting Award, Demi Moore also revealed that she last saw her ex-husband just two days ago. She visited the ex-action star together with their granddaughter Louetta (1). She wanted to “be able to share what we have, no matter how long we have it,” she explained about her time with Bruce Willis.
Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming-Willis (46), with whom he has two daughters (12 and 10), made her husband’s diagnosis public last year. Willis himself has withdrawn from the public since 2022. But his family keeps giving updates about the “Die Hard” star’s health.
Just two weeks ago, his daughter Tallulah shared private favorite pictures of and with her father. “Hey, I love this guy so much and having feelings is a hard thing, but I’m so grateful that I can let them flow through me now instead of trying to separate myself from them!” she wrote.
