30 years ago, “Pulp Fiction” by Quentin Tarantino was released in cinemas. The film still enjoys cult status today. Samuel L. Jackson celebrated his breakthrough with the role in the film.
Hollywood star Samuel L. Jackson honored the success of the cult film on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of “Pulp Fiction”. “The film took off from Cannes and changed my life,” the 75-year-old wrote on Instagram. The film was released in theaters on October 14, 1994. Jackson said he will forever remember the audience’s reaction. “After that I knew the film was special… and 30 years later it still is.”
Director Quentin Tarantino’s gangster film was a critical darling. Jackson played a philosophizing hitman and thus celebrated his big breakthrough. The strange role in the ironic, macabre blood orgy earned the actor his first and only Oscar nomination. Bruce Willis, John Travolta, Harvey Keitel and Uma Thurman starred alongside him.
Jackson also posted several photos with his fellow actors and a video of himself reciting a few lines from a famous scene in the film. Uma Thuman also posted a photo of herself in her role as Mia Wallace and with the other actors in her stories. The 54-year-old wrote: “So many great memories.”
