Employment: what are the skills that experts are looking for, according to specialists

Boomerangleading employment app Latin Americaconducted a study on learning and improving professional skills. In the investigation, specialists in Human Resources determined which skills are prioritized when looking for candidates: the 18% of experts prioritize the development of technical skills, he 15% focuses on leadership skills, he 14% in expanding the digital skills and 12% in skills communication.

The study, Upskilling and Reskilling, also showed that the 56% of specialists in Argentina believes that the most effective option for the professional development is improving and deepening existing skillseither upskilling.

What Bumeran’s talents say about professional development

Contrary to the specialists, 57% of working people maintains that the reskillingor learning a new skill, is more useful for your professional development; while only 43% believe that upskilling is more beneficial.

Almost 6 out of 10 talents consider that acquiring a new skill is more beneficial for your professional development. As for the types of training, 27% consider on-the-job training (practical learning) to be the most useful modality; 23% opt for online courses; another 23% prefer professional certifications; and 17% prefer face-to-face workshops and seminars.

They participated in the study 4,174 workers and human resources specialists of Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Panama and Peru. Along with the 56% of experts who assure that the most effective development is upskilling, other countries in the region join in: 67% support in Ecuador and Peru; 60% in Chile; and 57% in Panama.
