After a six-year break, the legendary Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show returns on October 15th. Numerous models will float down the catwalk in New York with angel wings. From 1995 to 2018, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was one of the biggest catwalk events of the year. The “Angel” contract was one of the most coveted jobs in the industry as the models received worldwide attention through the fashion show.
Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show with many familiar faces
In 2018, Victoria’s Secret canceled its fashion show due to low ratings and growing criticism. In order to present itself with a new, better image, the comeback show is expressly produced only by women. However, the show should also retain its tried and tested style. “There will be glamour, wings, fashion, musical entertainment, models and much more, with updates that also reflect our current brand values and commitments,” organizers said on the Victoria’s Secret website.
The fashion show also marks a comeback for many former Victoria’s Secret Angels. For example, supermodel Tyra Banks, 50, Adriana Lima, 43, and Gigi Hadid, 29, and Candice Swanepoel will be there again.
