Lifetime TV’s annual Christmas movie lineup features a love story inspired by Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
The US cable channel Lifetime’s annual Christmas film program begins on November 16th. Twelve new romantic films will be broadcast on US TV every Saturday and Sunday until Christmas Day on December 25th. One of the highlights is a romantic comedy inspired by US superstar Taylor Swift (34) and US football star Travis Kelce (35). “Christmas in the Spotlight” is scheduled for November 23rd at 8:00 p.m.
That’s what “Christmas in the Spotlight” is about
The film is about music star Bowyn, who has not yet met her personal Mr. Right, although she always sings about love and romantic relationships. Her celebrity status and always busy schedule make dating almost impossible.
Then she meets professional football player Drew and his niece backstage at one of her concerts. There’s an instant spark between Bowyn and Drew. And when he makes his feelings for her public a little later, the two of them go on a date… But does their love have a future in the spotlight and with two busy schedules?
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce – the true love story
Pop star Taylor Swift and NFL champion Travis Kelce, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, have reportedly been dating for over a year. The two first caused a stir in September 2023 when Swift attended some of Kelce’s NFL games. They were spotted together in public for the first time in October. Swift’s many more stadium visits followed, including the Super Bowl final, where Kelce shared a kiss on the field.
And Travis Kelce also regularly supports his girlfriend at her performances: He was not only in the audience at several concerts, he even came on stage during her “Eras” tour in London.
Who’s starring in the new Christmas movie season?
This year’s new Christmas films, in which a string of lights twinkles in almost every shot and the Christmas colors red, green and white dominate, also feature some well-known acting stars. These include Jennifer Love Hewitt (45), Teri Hatcher (59), Vivica A. Fox (60) and six-time Grammy award winner Benjamin “BeBe” Winans (62).
