The increase in the child-rearing basket for girls and boys aged 6 to 12 was 1.3% compared to the previous month, below the monthly inflation of 3.5%.

The breeding basket reached the $460,283 in September to support girls and boys from 6 to 12 years old, counting the care expenses linked to goods and services, as reported by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC).

He increase in the child-rearing basket for girls and boys aged 6 to 12 was 1.3% compared to the previous month, below the inflation monthly 3.5%.

Breeding basket: how much it increased for each age range

The INDEC measurement includes care expenses linked to the goods and services of girls and boys according to age range:

  • Raising basket for children under 1 year old: $369,829
  • Parenting basket for girls and boys from 1 to 3 years old: $438,873
  • Parenting basket for girls and boys ages 4 to 5: $365,804
  • Parenting basket for girls and boys from 6 to 12 years old: $460,283

The values ​​of the breeding baskets increased on average 1% during September, below the inflation of the same month. In the year-on-year comparison, the increase was 167%.

How the INDEC breeding basket is measured

INDEC obtains these values ​​from an exhaustive evaluation that includes both the monthly expenditure to acquire the goods and services necessary for child development and the cost of care, calculated from the time required for this activity. That is, it measures food, clothing, housing, transportation and care.

The indicator serves as a reference for judicial processes of separation of couples for the calculation of the alimony fee paid by mothers and fathers in litigation processes.
