Meteorological alert for rains and storms: which provinces are affected
The affected provinces are Jujuy, Chaco, Formosa, Buenos Aires, San Luis, Mendoza, Chubut, La Pampa and Río Negro. These last two could suffer the consequences of this climate, for orange alert.
As explained by the SMN, with the yellow alert there will be “storms of varying intensity”. It is also expected that there will be “abundant waterfall in short periods, intense electrical activity, occasional hail and strong gusts“.
For the two orange alert provinces, there will be “locally strong or severe storms” accompanied by intense gusts. Important electrical activity is also expected, with “abundant fall of water in short periods and fall of hail“. Accumulated precipitation is estimated between 60 and 90 mm.
