Show legend Liza Minnelli (78) advises a healthy lifestyle. “You didn’t ask, but I have advice for you: Pay attention to your body, because you could live longer than you expect,” Minnelli told singer Michael Feinstein (68) in an interview for Interview magazine.
Reflecting on the possibility of a long life, the singer and actress elaborated, “I just keep changing parts and moving on. You just have to deal with it and be happy, and as Dick Van Dyke sang and taught me, ‘Put on a Happy Face” (in German: “Make a happy face”).”
The daughter of actress Judy Garland and director Vincente Minnelli is one of the small group of “EGOT” award winners. These are people who have won the four most important awards in the entertainment industry – Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony. The musical film adaptation “Cabaret”, in which she played a nightclub singer in Berlin in 1931, brought her global success and an Oscar for best actress.
