He Ministry of National Security offers a million-dollar reward to capture Rudolph “The Russian” Lohrmann. This is a prisoner who escaped from a prison in Portugal in early September and is accused of being the main suspect in the kidnapping of Cristian Schaerer in 2003.
The Ministry details that Since September 7, 2024, he has a national and international arrest warrant for escaping from the Monsanto Penitentiary Establishment, “Vale de Judeus” prison in Portugal. There he was serving a sentence of 18 years and 10 months for having stolen a cash truck in the city of Aveiro.

It was published in the Official Gazette of the Ministry of Security.

The role of ““The Russian” Lohrmann in the Schaerer case
The criminal had been arrested in February 2017. It was required by the Argentine Justicewithin the framework of the Red Index Notification for the crime of kidnapping for ransom of Schaerer, who was 21 years old at the time he was kidnapped.
“El Ruso” is accused in Argentina of being responsible for the disappearance of the young man in September 2003.
