Gwyneth Paltrow and Timothée Chalamet kiss while filming “Marty Supreme”

Gwyneth Paltrow (52) and Timothée Chalamet (28) are currently filming the sports drama “Marty Supreme” together in New York City. In the film about the eccentric table tennis professional Marty Reisman (1930-2012), Chalamet not only plays the main role, but also acts as a producer. Pictures from the set now show him and Paltrow kissing passionately in a nighttime scene.

In the photos, the “Dune” star, wearing an elegant suit, pushes Paltrow, 24 years her senior, against the wall before kissing her. The actress is wearing a floor-length red coat and black gloves. It is not yet clear what role she will play in the film. Other cast members in the biopic include “The Nanny” actress Fran Drescher (67), the magician Penn Jillette (69), the entrepreneur Kevin O’Leary (70) and the rapper Tyler, the Creator (33). It is also still unclear when the film will be released in cinemas.

For Gwyneth Paltrow, “Marty Supreme” marks her return to the big screen after a five-year break. In 2019 she temporarily retired from acting to devote herself to her lifestyle company Goop. Her big screen comeback was heavily influenced by daughter Apple Martin, 20, a source claims. “Gwyneth signed on to star in ‘Marty Supreme’ thanks to her daughter, who has had a crush on the ‘Dune’ star for years,” says a source the insider.

“As soon as Gwyneth told Apple that Timothée was not only producing but also starring, she begged her mother to take the role,” the story continues. Paltrow finally agreed to the project after her daughter’s persuasion, “even though she doesn’t have much interest in acting at the moment.” Apple, who comes from Gwyneth Paltrow’s relationship with Coldplay singer Chris Martin (47), wants to be on set as often as possible because of her crush on Chalamet.
