Liam Payne died in a hotel in Argentina after his “erratic” behavior attracted attention. A hotel employee called 911 and described the situation.
Little is still known about Liam Payne’s condition shortly before his death on Wednesday afternoon (local time) in Argentina. The One Direction singer was a guest at the “CasaSur Palermo Hotel” in Buenos Aires when he attracted negative attention from guests and employees there. A hotel employee was afraid something serious would happen to Payne and called 911.

“We have a guest who is on drugs and alcohol. And when he is conscious, he destroys everything in the room. Please send someone,” said the employee. A transcript of the emergency call has now been published. The employee did not mention that the guest was Liam Payne. “Under the influence of drugs and alcohol, you said?” the woman assured herself on the hotline. “Yes, correct,” confirmed the hotel employee.

How great the concern for Payne was in the hotel becomes clear right from the start. “And you need to send someone urgently because I don’t know if the guest’s life is in danger. He would have to be in a room that has a balcony. And we’re a little worried that he’ll do something that could ruin his life puts people in danger,” said the employee.
He also explained that Payne had been at the hotel for two or three days and asked that not only the police but also an emergency medical service be sent. The hotel employee seemed to be aware of how serious the situation was.

No possibility of resuscitation
When the paramedics arrived a little later, it was already too late. Payne fell from his balcony on the third floor of the hotel. The British singer “suffered very serious injuries,” said the head of the Argentine capital’s emergency services, Alberto Crescenti, on local television on Wednesday. There was “no possibility of revival”. Shortly after Payne’s death was announced, mourning fans gathered near the hotel.
