The 75-year-old actor is relaxed about getting older.
Actor Richard Gere (“Pretty Woman”) is not afraid of getting old. “It’s a natural process,” the 75-year-old told the news magazine “stern”. He is constantly reminded of his aging. “At film festivals there are often compilations of my films. Within a few minutes I see myself at 26, at 30, at 40, at 50, at 60, at 70.” That’s strange, the former “Sexiest Man Alive” noted, adding: “But trying to stop aging would drive you crazy. You can’t stop time.”
He is sure that the time will come when he will behave in an age-appropriate manner. “But that hasn’t happened yet. I can’t believe I’m already 75,” said the Hollywood star, who became a father again at the ages of 70 and 71.
