Veronica Ferres as the new one in “Murder Sisters”: What Lena Dörrie “admires” her for

Veronica Ferres is the new member of the “Murder Sisters” team. Lead actress Lena Dörrie explains how her debut as a police psychologist went.

It’s a bit like the opening crime thriller of the new “Murder Sisters” season “Explosiv” (October 18th, 8:15 p.m., ZDF): With the successful police psychologist Dr. Brockhaus has a new addition to the team who has a reputation for confidently cracking even the most blatant cases. She is played by the award-winning actress Veronica Ferres (59). In an interview with spot on news, one of the two leading actresses, Lena Dörrie (42, “Ladykracher” ensemble), tells how the film team, which has existed since 2022, experienced the prominent newcomer on set.

“Veronica integrated into our team really well; she was open-minded and extremely well prepared. She made it particularly easy for us actors and actresses to get started right away,” enthuses Dörrie. The actress is also impressed by the fact that Ferres can be seen in the Flensburg crime novels with a dark bob instead of the usual blonde waves. “She was incredibly open to change. Her character is completely different to what we usually know of Veronica Ferres. I think that’s courageous, and I always admire courage,” says the Berliner by choice.

Dörrie reveals this much about whether Veronica Ferres will continue to be a permanent part of the “Murder Sisters” troupe: “Even Viktoria [gespielt von Lena Dörrie, Red.] In the end, make peace with Dr. Brockhaus, so nothing should stand in the way of a shared future, right?”

What happens next after the season with the “Murder Sisters”?

After the new “Murder Sisters” crime novels, Lena Dörrie is now going back to her origins: “I was involved in the Bavarian State Theater for a few years right at the beginning of my career and I miss that regularly. So I’m really happy to be back in the winter after a long time “It’s time to finally be on stage again,” she says, promising more soon.

And she also hopes for more from the popular crime series: “Then, of course, we have to keep our fingers crossed that the ‘Murder Sisters’ will go into a fourth season… That’s why: tune in from October 18th!”
