In this framework, Francos referred to Katopodis’ proposal, dated October 31 and lasting 10 minutes: “If there is a blackout, maybe you want to pay for the electricity because you don’t have the money to pay it, they won’t give you the bills.”

And he added: “When he was national minister he did not worry about seriously managing public works, because they left a disaster with 4,000 public works paralyzed.”
The blackout that Katopodis called for the end of the month
He Multisector Forum Against Tariffsis a space made up of various actors from civil society, articulated by the Minister of Infrastructure and Public Services of the province of Buenos Aires, Gabriel Katopodiswhose objective is to coordinate actions against increases in water, electricity and gas bills.
Katopodis promoted the blackout throughout the country with the aim of expressing discomfort and disagreement with the increase in electricity rates: ”We are going to promote, convene a national blackout from 9 p.m. to 9:10 p.m., on October 31 so that each neighbor can spend those 10 minutes turn off the lightand with that gesture, without having to go out into the street or having to go to any square, I can demonstrate and express that this is not how it works. These bills cannot be paid”, in statements with Radio Provincia.
”What’s coming is going to be worse because the entire 2025 budget foresees more adjustment, more cuts in subsidies and tariffs. We already tried the path of adjustment and high tariffs with Macri and other right-wing governments and it went very badly.”, he concluded.
