“For me it should rain red roses / I should encounter all miracles” – with a tribute evening for Hildegard Knef the Posthof in Linz starts on 26./27. January in his red-white-red “home game” series. Gabriele Deutsch slips into the role of the German post-war world star, who brings “die Knef” to life through narrative and singing. David Wagner sits at the piano, Julia Ribbeck is the co-director.
“We had to postpone the premiere of this Posthof in-house production an incredible six times due to the corona. Now it should really work,” says Posthof boss Wilfried Steiner. Even if international acts can hardly appear in Austria at the moment, the “home game” is not an emergency solution. “Even in this situation, I cannot and do not want to make a program that lags behind my expectations. The ??home game?? is something special and offers immense opportunities for local artists.” One of these wild youngsters is the Mühlviertler cabaret artist Benedikt Mittmannsgruber, who is rehearsing “Exodus” on February 12th. An insider tip is the duo Kirsch and Kern, who will stop by the harbor on February 25 with a “mixture of satire, accordions and poetry”. Furthermore, RaDeschnig uploads his fifth cabaret program with a “double click” (January 29), the cabaret duo Baumgärtner (February 11) touches on everything important “From the root to the coronation”. Verena Koch and Franz Huber play Beckett’s “Happy Days” (January 14/15).
From Pink Floyd to the Angel
Of course, the music doesn’t miss out either: On January 29, The Tribute, led by Andie Gabauer, will pay homage to the grand masters of Pink Floyd. On February 22nd, the Lässig family brings “An ideal world” to Linz, and the Hermann singing band (January 28th) is also doing the honors.
A special concern of the Posthof music director Gernot Kremser is the musical performance show of the pop class of the BORG Linz on March 2nd: “The quality of the local pop music is incredibly high. So what could be more appropriate than the number one regional pop cadre school a stage to offer?”
Hearty rhymes and crisp beats can be heard on March 4th when the Viennese dialect rap duo Kreiml & Samurai make a guest appearance in Linz. The following day, Blonder Engel & Die Hedwig Haselrieder Kombo bring this year’s “Heimspiel” edition to an entertaining and dignified end. (ll)
