Three “Pulp Fiction” stars celebrated their reunion at a gala with a selfie. One received a special prize at the awards.
The “Pulp Fiction” stars John Travolta (70), Uma Thurman (54) and Quentin Tarantino (61) celebrated their reunion at the Academy Museum Gala. The actors and director took a selfie at the event in Los Angeles on Saturday (October 19). Harvey Keitel (85), who also starred in the cult film, sat at the table with them. “Pulp Fiction” premiered in US cinemas 30 years ago, on October 14, 1994.
Tarantino receives award from Travolta
Thurman arrived at the event in a floor-length dress made of dark brown satin that hugged the waist. She also combined brown pumps and silver earrings and a cuff. Her blonde hair was styled in a bun. Travolta smiled for the camera next to her in a dark velvet suit jacket and black pants. A black turtleneck completed his look. Tarantino went for a classic ensemble with a black suit and white shirt. A silver watch and a black bow tie completed the timeless look.
Travolta presented the iconic director with the Luminary Award that evening. , the award is given “to an artist whose unique contributions have expanded the creative possibilities of cinema.” According to media reports, Travolta announced in his acceptance speech that he wanted to donate the first draft of the “Pulp Fiction” script to the museum.
Last appearance together in spring
The stars last appeared together at the TCM Classic Film Festival in April 2024. They attended a screening of the film with their “Pulp Fiction” colleague Samuel L. Jackson (75). It premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May 1994, where it received the Palme d’Or. The crime comedy won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and collected other awards, including at the Golden Globes and BAFTA Awards.
