More than 700 young people participated in the first week of the future of UNaB

More than 700 young people from Almirante Brown and the region visited the campus of the Guillermo Brown National University (UNaB) to participate in the first Future Weeka program of activities designed so that they can learn first-hand about the experience of university life.

Thus, those who are studying their last year of high school were able to see the UNaB campus, tour the facilities with teachers and graduates while participating in artificial intelligence, robotics, and design activities.

The students participated in conversations, workshops and recreational proposals aimed at disseminating the careers and above all so that they understand the role of the university in their territory and for the future of the community.

In this sense, the consultations were aimed at finding out more about careers with high job demand as Data Science; Logistics and Transportation; Automation and Control, or Therapeutic Support.

In this regard, the vice-rector of UNaB, Facundo Nejamkis He highlighted that “it is very interesting what is happening on campus where a lot of sixth-year kids from high schools in the region They came to live an experience about what their life can be like in the future”.

“We try to convey to them the most important thing: that the only thing that makes a difference in life, the only thing that allows you to have upward social mobility, improve your qualification, improve the life of your family, is studying. It is nice to see this movement in the university and that people, despite everything, want to continue progressing”said Nejamkis, during a tour of the activities.

Among the participants of these days, there was also the mayor of Almirante Brown, Mariano Cascallares, who highlighted the importance of young people “being able to discover opportunities for training and growth through the Guillermo Brown National University.”

“We come to participate in Future Week at UNaB, our public university

that invites the students of our district and our region to participate in enroll in the 13 courses offered by the university, which today brings together more than 4,500 students. This is the public university that we all want,” Cascallares highlighted.

The schools that were part of this experience were secondary schools 32 and 61 of Adrogué; 17, 43, 78 of Burzaco; 14 of Don Orione; Glew’s 73; 22 and 67 of José Mármol; 5, 64 and 80 Longchamps; 33 of Malvinas Argentinas; the 52nd of Minister Rivadavia; 53 San Francisco Solano; 15 and 72 in San José; techniques 3 by Claypole and 1 by Esteban Echeverría; and President Perón’s secondary school 11.

They were also part of the UNaB Future Week, members of the shared social responsibility program Envión de Almirante Brownan initiative articulated with the province of Buenos Aires to promote and exercise rights for young people between 12 and 21 years old.
