Britney Spears (42) revealed to her Instagram followers that she married herself. the singer poses in a white satin wedding dress. Her wavy hair is covered by a long lace veil with a train. “The day I married myself,” it says under the video.

“I’m bringing it back because it may seem embarrassing or stupid, but I think it’s the most awesome thing I’ve ever done!!!” Spears added. According to the clip, on her wedding day she wore black pumps and applied her signature black eyeliner. In keeping with the occasion, she accompanied her contribution with the popular wedding song “Fields of Gold”. A few hours earlier, the musician posted without comment.

Divorce went through in May
Her last wedding was two years ago. In June 2022, she married her partner Sam Ashgari (30), a year after getting engaged. The musician has been officially divorced since May 2024. Her ex-husband filed for divorce on August 16, 2023. The reason he gave in the application was “irreconcilable differences”. As stated in her prenuptial agreement, Spears kept all of her income. While she gained custody of four of their dogs, Ashgari became the owner of Doberman Porsha. The former couple did not share any children.
She had two children with dancer Kevin Federline (46), to whom she was married from 2004 to 2007. Their first son Sean Preston (19) was born in September 2005. A year later, their second son, Jayden James (18), was born. Her first marriage was a topic of conversation because of its short duration. In January 2004, she was married to her childhood friend for 55 hours. As Spears recounted in her memoir “The Woman in Me,” the couple’s drunken state led to their marriage. According to her description, they went to a chapel in the middle of the night. In fact, she didn’t love her first husband.
