Agreement on Social Security between Argentina and Canada
Through Law 27,770 (BO 10/18/24) The Social Security Agreement between the Argentine Republic and Canada was approved, held in the City of Buenos Aires on August 13, 2021.
Regarding each country, what has been agreed corresponds to:
Argentina: The legislation on contributory benefits of the Social Security System with regard to the old-age, disability and death regimes, administered by the Competent Institution, which may be national, provincial, provincial for public employees or independent professionals or municipal.
Canada: the Old Age Insurance Act and the regulations adopted thereunder and the Canada Pension Plan and the regulations adopted thereunder
The provisions will apply to any person who is or has been subject to the aforementioned legislation as well as their family members and successors, who will be subject to the obligations and will be entitled to the benefits provided for in the legislation, of a Party under the same conditions. than the citizens of that Party.
