The National Administration of Drugs, Foods and Medical Technology (ANMAT) issued a resolution that vetoes the use, marketing and distribution of the mosquito repellent “Chau Mosquitos Te Cuida Mejor” throughout the countrybecause this product lacks registration with the regulatory entity.
File EX-2024-100976672-APN-DVPS#ANMAT, recently published in the Official Gazette, details that the Department of Home Health, Cosmetics and Personal Hygiene Products received an alert within the framework of the Cosmetovigilance System about the possible irregular sale of this product.
After verifying the ANMAT database, it was confirmed that said repellent is not registered in their recordswhich raises doubts about its authenticity.

The product was located on the platform Free market under the link “Bye Mosquitos”, which motivated the intervention of ANMAT to safeguard consumers.
Preventive measures
Faced with this situation, the Directorate of Evaluation and Management of Monitoring of Health Products (DEGMPS) ordered the absolute ban on all variants of the repellent, restricting its sale, use, advertising and distribution. This is because There is no evidence to support its safety, effectiveness or exact composition. in addition to the identity of the responsible manufacturer being unknown.
The objective of this measure is to prevent users from being exposed to a product that could endanger your health and does not comply with health regulations.
Insecticide ban
In parallel, the ANMAT also banned two insecticides throughout the country, both in physical stores and on online platforms:
