The Vehicle Technical Verification (VTV) It is a procedure that allows us to corroborate the condition of the vehicles through a comprehensive review and thus minimize road accidents caused by mechanical defects. This is a procedure that is mandatory to be up to date to be able to circulate. Depending on the patent number, a date is assigned to renew it. Patents ending in 0 expire in October.
To carry out the procedure, you must bear in mind that you must present the following documentation:
- Current ID.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Current vehicle insurance.
- Proof of payment corresponding to the shift reservation.
- If you have a vehicle: green ID
- If you have a motorcycle: green and/or pink ID (in case a third party presents itself).

How to process the VTV
To obtain a VTV appointment in CABA, the following steps must be followed:
- Access the City Government website.
- Complete the form with the vehicle information and contact information.
- Choose the payment method, whether online or in person.
- Select the date, time and location where the procedure will be carried out.
- Pay the corresponding amount to confirm the appointment reservation.
- On the day and time of the shift, appear at the selected headquarters with the receipt that will be received by email and the required documents.
What cars must be processed by the VTV before the end of the year to be able to continue circulating
To all patents ending in 0 The VTV expires on October 31, 2024, so they must complete the procedure 30 days prior to avoid violating the law. The same happens with the patents ending in 1which expires on November 30.
If you do not approve it, you will have a period of 60 business days to do it again for free. If this does not happen, the procedure must be paid again and the inspection carried out during December and January. subject to fines.
