A good six months after a knife attack on a four-year-old in a supermarket, a 35-year-old is being permanently housed in a psychiatric hospital, according to a ruling by the Ravensburg regional court. The jury chamber assumed that the incident in Wangen im Allgäu was attempted murder. Due to his illness, the accused, who has Syrian and Dutch citizenship, is incompetent. The judgment is final.
The 35-year-old stabbed the four-year-old with a knife in a supermarket in April of this year. The victim was critically injured. The accused admitted the accusation in court. He had a divine inspiration.
In addition to the public prosecutor and the co-prosecution, the defense also spoke out in favor of the man’s permanent placement in a clinic. He posed a constant danger to the general public, the verdict said. The verdict was accepted by everyone at the meeting.
