She is known as always being in a good mood. But now pictures of Hella von Sinnen are surprising – because she is currently in a wheelchair. The reason was probably an accident in February.
Colorful glasses, blonde hair, big grin: This is how fans know the TV presenter and mood bomber Hella von Sinnen. There are currently more and more pictures published by “Bild”, among others: they show von Sinnen in a wheelchair. On Monday afternoon she drove up in her vehicle to a TV recording in Cologne. An assistant also wore walking frames. Otherwise, she was just the same as ever: with yellow glasses and a matching scarf, she was an eye-catcher even when sitting. But what had happened?
Hella von Sinnen in a wheelchair: Double broken leg after fall in Duisburg
According to “Bild”, there is no reason for fans to be particularly concerned. The fact that von Sinnen is currently dependent on a wheelchair is not due to a serious illness, but rather to an accident last February. Accordingly, the TV presenter fell badly on the sidelines of RTL’s “40 Years of Comedy Gala” in Duisburg and broke both legs. She then withdrew from the public eye to recover from her fractures.
What is Hella actually doing today?

But after almost eight months, von Sinnen has now fought her way back in front of the camera – for good reason. Even two broken legs couldn’t stop her from taking part in the recording of the new season of “Genial Daneben” with her long-time TV partners Hugo Egon Balder and Wigald Boning.
Good progress through physiotherapy
The spotlight is apparently the best medicine for von Sinnen. Production circles said that the 65-year-old was in a good mood and while the camera was rolling, she switched from a wheelchair to crutches. She explained to the studio audience that she had spent three whole months in a clinic in Duisburg. “Now I have to learn to walk again.”
A few weeks ago she talked about the fall in an interview with the YouTuber “Massentaste-TV”: “I wasn’t even drunk. And the worst thing is, I haven’t drunk for eight months now… I can’t get drunk “If I can’t walk, how will that work?”
Von Sinnen has another goal for the coming weeks: She wants to be on the theater stage again on November 3rd – if at all possible without a wheelchair or walking frame. To do this, she works intensively with a physiotherapist.
