In a historic event, forty ambassadors, together with authorities from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of the Argentine Republic, visited the headquarters of the Automobile Club Argentino (ACA)where they received the honorary membership card of the institution.
The delegation, which included ambassadors, chargé d’affaires and ministers, was the largest in history to tour the Club’s main offices. The group included envoys from countries such as Italy, France, Brazil, Mexico, China, Nigeria, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and representatives of the League of Arab States and the European Union, among others.
Once at the ACA headquarters, in addition to touring the Automobile Museum, the ambassadors received an honorary membership card, which entitles them to all the services and benefits provided by the institution, which in 2024 will celebrate 120 years of history. .

During the meeting, the diplomats were entertained by the Club’s authorities and listened to the words of César Carman, president of the ACA, and Héctor Marcelo Cima, Secretary of International Economic Relations of the Argentine Foreign Ministry.
“It is a pleasure to have the presence of all of you in this house, which is the home of all Argentines,” began Carman, who stressed the importance of the event. “It is a unique event and a milestone that will remain in the history of this beloved Argentine Automobile Club. “Today we open the door of our house to you to continue strengthening the ties that unite us and express the respect and affection that we feel for each and every one of you,” he said. And he added: “That gratitude that we feel, today takes the form of honorary membership cards.”
Then, he explained that the diplomats present would receive, like the more than 300 thousand members, all the services offered by the ACA. “Having the presence of so many ambassadors from such diverse countries and origins reminds me of one of the fundamental values of our Club: promoting friendship and unity among peoples,” he said.

“He Automobile Club He is also an ambassador of Argentina in all the international areas where we participate, such as the presence in the International Automobile Federation (FIA) of which we have been a part since 1926 and which is why we are a supervisory body for sports competitions at the national level,” explained the president. He also explained that the ACA is authorized to issue the necessary documents for Argentines to drive their cars beyond the country’s borders, for example, through international registration.
Finally, he highlighted the pride he feels when Argentine pilots go out to compete around the world: “We actively promote international competition. Fangio, Reutemann and now Colapintowho took our flag to the highest level and left stories of technique and bravery that continue to excite the entire world,” he expressed.
Then, Ambassador Cima addressed the diplomatic delegations present, who maintained that “the ACA is Argentina.” And he continued: “For us, from the Foreign Ministry, to participate with you, the ambassadors, in this event, it is an honor and I thank you for sharing this moment and bringing Argentina to your countries.”
Once the speeches were over, each of the ambassadors, charges d’affaires and ministers representing the foreign delegations were invited to receive, one by one, their ACA honorary membership card.
