Justice: Seven more lawsuits filed against Sean Combs

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing serious allegations. A law firm represents dozens of alleged victims – and has now filed further lawsuits. Combs’ children stand by him.

Further lawsuits have been filed against US rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs (54), who has already been accused of numerous sexual crimes and is in custody. A law firm in Houston, Texas, which announced around two weeks ago that it was representing 120 people with allegations against the rapper, filed seven further lawsuits, as confirmed to the German Press Agency upon request. The law firm had already filed six lawsuits last week.

Meanwhile, six of Combs’ children stood behind their father in a joint statement. “The past month has devastated our family,” they wrote on Instagram. “We stand together and support you every step of the way.”

The seven new lawsuits submitted to the German Press Agency were submitted anonymously on behalf of four men and three women, it said. Combs and other unnamed people are accused of, among other things, sexual abuse and sexual assault. The alleged acts are said to have occurred between 2000 and 2022, mainly in New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Two of the alleged victims are said to have been minors at the time of the crime – 17 and 13 years old.

At the request of the German Press Agency, the musician’s management once again rejected the allegations and accused the law firm of wanting to draw attention to itself.

Law firm represents about 120 people with allegations against Combs

The head of the law firm, Tony Buzbee, announced at a press conference about two weeks ago that he represented 120 people with allegations against Combs and wanted to file lawsuits. The alleged acts have mostly taken place at parties or events in New York and Los Angeles since 1991.

With hits like “I’ll Be Missing You” and “Bad Boy For Life”, Combs was one of the most successful rappers in the world in recent decades. Over the course of his career he used the pseudonyms “Puff Daddy”, “P. Diddy” and “Diddy”, among others. He has been in custody for around two weeks. The rapper is accused by prosecutors in New York of sex trafficking, organized crime and other crimes. Combs pleaded not guilty. There are also already several civil lawsuits alleging sexual abuse.

Lawyers are trying to get him released from custody

The rapper’s legal team is currently seeking his release from custody and has appealed a judge’s decision not to release Combs conditionally until the trial begins. In addition, they now wrote to the judge demanding that he prohibit potential witnesses and their lawyers from making statements outside of court so that Combs could receive a fair trial. The trial is currently tentatively scheduled to begin in May.
