Pamela Anderson has been appearing in front of the camera without makeup since 2023. Drew Barrymore inspired her to do a no-makeup episode of her US talk show.
In the latest episode of her talk show, the perfectly styled actress Drew Barrymore (49) suddenly reaches for a cotton pad and micellar water to remove her make-up. Co-presenter Valerie Bertinelli (64) does the same and after they both face an audience of millions without make-up, they greet the woman who inspired them: Pamela Anderson (57). The three women discuss the former “Baywatch” cult bathing beauty’s new no-makeup movement, which will air in the USA on October 22nd.
“Isn’t it liberating?” Anderson asks the presenters and the studio guests, who also take part in the show without makeup. “Doesn’t it feel free? I feel free. I mean, it took a while too. I had my little, you know, journey with it, but we’re all our own worst critics.”
In the further conversation, actress Bertinelli asks how Anderson’s first appearance without make-up at Paris Fashion Week 2023 came about: “I wanted to remember who I was,” replied the sex symbol of the nineties, who was completely naked in the face and With her hair tied loosely in a ponytail, her self-confidence is literally infectious.
“A few years ago it dawned on me and I just shook my head and asked myself, ‘Who am I?’ That’s when I went home to my garden and started planting things and going into nature and going back to the trees that had known me since I was born,” Anderson continues.
The Canadian wanted to get back to earth: “I bought my grandmother’s property and renovated it. I just started taking everything back. And then I started showing myself without make-up. And then I realized: ‘Oh, I feel “greater than myself,” recalls the most famous blonde on US television. Since then she hasn’t left the house painted.
“I finally feel comfortable in my skin.”
Most recently, Pamela Anderson made a glamorous appearance at the “Women of the Year” awards ceremony in New York City at the beginning of October without having to spend hours in the mask beforehand. She radiated just as minimalist, which she proudly posted on her Instagram account. The magazine honored her as
“I have nothing against makeup, but I felt like it looked better on me when I was in my 20s,” the 57-year-old explained in the accompanying interview. “In your fifties you are at a crossroads. You ask yourself: ‘Do I want to chase youth forever? Or do I want to accept myself?'” She realized: “I finally feel comfortable in my own skin.”
