Helmut Zierl and his Sabrina: Their wedding should be before this date

Actor Helmut Zierl and his long-time partner Sabrina got married. One thing was particularly important to him at the appointment.

Actor Helmut Zierl (70) and his long-time partner Sabrina Böcker (40) got married at the beginning of October in the Trittau registry office, Schleswig-Holstein, and then celebrated with friends and family at the “Vitalia Seehotel” in Bad Segeberg.

Specifically, the two said yes on October 4th. And for good reason, because the marriage was supposed to take place before his 70th birthday on October 6th. “I said yes two days before my big birthday because I wanted to get married in my 60s,” he revealed to the tabloid.

Second marriage for both

Both the native of Schleswig-Holstein and the social worker from Hanover, who is 30 years his junior, have already been married. His marriage to actress Christine Zierl (62) lasted from 1988 to 2001. Two sons (born 1992 and 1995) come from this relationship. Another son comes from another relationship.

“It’s the second marriage for both of us and neither of us really wanted it. But then I proposed to her,” he said and explained: “In the entire time, Sabrina has traveled around the world around three and a half times to be with me my place of residence in Lütjensee [Schleswig-Holstein, Red.] to see. Then I said to myself: With this woman – it must be true love. I have to marry her now.” A pregnancy was not the reason for the proposal, he added.

Long-term long-distance relationship

The fact that Sabrina had to travel “around three and a half times around the world” to see him is due to the fact that the two don’t live together permanently. “Sabrina and I have been in a long-distance relationship for twelve years,” explained the actor. And that doesn’t seem to really change for the newly married Zierl couple, but at least: “Sabrina is doing more home office work now, so she can spend more time with me.”

At the beginning of 2025 they will have a lot of time together again because, according to the report, they want to “spend their honeymoon island hopping in the South Seas”.
