Megan Thee Stallion has filmed her own documentary for Amazon Prime about the ups and downs of her life. However, she was bothered by the cameras during the recordings. In the interview she explains why.
According to her own words, US rapper Megan Thee Stallion forbade the cameramen from bringing their cameras when filming her documentary. “I kicked her out every day,” the 29-year-old said on Jimmy Fallon’s “Tonight Show.” The musician (“Body”) explained that she couldn’t be herself with “this fat camera” and jokingly imitated how she was supposedly asked to cry with a large lens right in front of her face.
“It got so bad that they literally had to start bringing cell phones,” the Grammy winner said. A large part of the footage in her new documentary consists of cell phone recordings, “because I refused to film in front of the cameras,” explained the musician.
The documentary “Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words” shows ups and downs from the life of the rapper, whose real name is Megan Pete. The documentary is scheduled to be released on Amazon Prime on October 31st.
