Banco Nación decided to change its general manager

The entity’s Board of Directors appointed Gastón Álvarez as General Manager, who has spent his entire professional career in the institution. He replaces Carlos Rovetto, who from now on will be an advisor to the president of the bank.

The Directory of Nation Bank announced this Thursday that it appointed Gastón Álvarez as General Manager, who has spent his entire professional career at the institution, occupying the highest responsibilities within the commercial management of the entity.

Besides, Alvarez He has a strong background in development of digital strategies and businesses, especially in the banking and Fintech sector.

Throughout his career, he has held various management positions in the Branch Network, as well as being in charge of different Zonal Managements in the province of Buenos Aires and Santa Fe.

Since 2017, at Headquarters, he has held senior management roles, the last being, that of Principal Deputy General Manager of Business.

Likewise, Álvarez “has the necessary capabilities to lead the BNA leadership team in the transformation that the entire financial industry is going through globally”, the entity indicated in a statement.

The Board of Directors of the entity thanked Carlos Rovettothe outgoing General Manager, for “all his commitment in the transition stage that he led during the last year and wishes him the greatest success in his new responsibilities within the staff that advises the president of the Bank.”
