Pietro Lombardi: Singer wants to work on his problems

At the beginning of October there was supposedly a violent argument between Pietro Lombardi (32) and his fiancée, Laura Maria Rypa. There were also allegations of domestic violence, which were rejected by the singer’s lawyer. Lombardi is now speaking out with a long statement in which he addresses the events. He “never hit” his fiancée, but was “a real asshole.”

Lombardi, who originally became known through the casting show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”, . The 32-year-old explains that he has “no problem owning up to my mistakes and the things I do wrong.” The singer confirms that the police arrived a few weeks ago: “And it’s also true that the police came. 100 percent.” Because this is there “to mediate situations, solve problems and simply bring calm to situations”.

Lombardi further explains: “The only shameful thing about the evening was my behavior. And I’m anything but proud of it.” He apologized to his fiancée. He also makes it clear: “I have never beaten my wife.” The fact that Laura was in the hospital was purely routine in such a situation. When she left the clinic, “everything was okay.” But he didn’t want to sugarcoat the matter, “because I was a real asshole.” He promised his partner that “I would work on my problems.” He also wants to try to get his emotions better under control. “My behavior was shameful,” Lombardi repeats later and apologizes again to his fiancée.

The incident resulted in “differences of opinion that involved insults on both sides.” Among other things, there was talk of an “emotional confrontation”. Accordingly, Rypa called the police, but they emphatically rejected the accusation of domestic violence.

Just a few weeks ago, Lombardi and Rypa became parents again. The couple’s son Amelio Elija was born. Leano (1), their first son, was born at the beginning of 2023. Lombardi also has another son, Alessio (9), from a previous marriage with the singer Sarah Engels (32).
