The oil union, which also brings together employees from the oil industry biodiesel, announced this afternoon that they will in a state of alert and ask the authorities “comply with what the law regulates based on Resolution 963/2023, through which said price must be set.”
According to FaSiPeGyBio, production costs “are above the price of biodiesel and, if it is not urgently updated, it will begin a paralysis throughout the industry”. This situation will undoubtedly “affect the supply of biofuel in several regions of the country, mainly in the province of Buenos Aires.”
If the change in fuel values does not materialize, biodiesel workers “already affected by the economic crisiswe will not hesitate to start mobilizations in demand of, neither more nor less, what the law establishes”, they affirm from the federation.
“Government entities must ensure current regulations,” they claim from FaSiPeGyBio. And they demand “a predictable legal framework” that allows “to guarantee the functioning of regional economies and their productive investments.” “The biofuels industry has a lot of potential in Argentina and not complying with pre-established rules would have a harmful effect on the confidence of the sector,” they conclude.
