Fans of R&B superstar Raye may have to prepare for a longer wait for a new album from the Brit. “No second album in the near future,” the artist wrote on Instagram, citing the theft of her car as the reason for this. The BBC and Rolling Stone magazine had previously reported.
“It’s my birthday and my car was stolen with all my songbooks in the trunk,” Raye, 27, wrote. She also posted a picture of a birthday cake with the words “Sorry ur car got stolen” written on it in red paint.
Raye is currently considered one of Britain’s most successful musicians. She won six awards at the BritAwards this year. In February 2023 she released her album “My 21st Century Blues”, her first as an independent artist. The second album is in preparation.
