Finally clarity for all “Spider-Man” fans: Tom Holland will return to the cinema in his signature role in the foreseeable future.
Fans have been hoping for a long time, now it’s clear: “Spider-Man” is coming back! As reported, the fourth part of the superhero saga with Tom Holland (28) will be in cinemas on July 24, 2026. The as yet unnamed project by director Destin Daniel Cretton (45) will be released two months after “Avengers: Doomsday”, which will be released on May 1, 2026.
The release follows a certain pattern, as the second part of the series, “Spider-Man: Far From Home”, also came to cinemas in 2019 two months after “Avengers: Endgame”. The third “Spider-Man” film titled “No Way Home” was released in 2021 and grossed over a billion dollars worldwide.
Tom Holland reveals start of production
Acting superstar Tom Holland confirmed on October 22nd during an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” that the latest installment in the series will go into production next year. “We’ll start filming next summer. Everything is ready to go – we’re almost there,” said Holland. This is “super exciting. I can hardly wait.”
The Brit first took on the role of Peter Parker in “Spider-Man: Homecoming” in 2017. The first three parts of the series were directed by Jon Watts (43). It is not yet clear whether Tom Holland’s girlfriend Zendaya (28), who also plays his partner MJ in the films, will be part of the sequel.
