Former romance Naomi Campbell: Model breaks silence on Liam Payne’s death

Naomi Campbell was reportedly briefly in a relationship with Liam Payne. The model has now reacted to his tragic death for the first time.

Naomi Campbell (54) expressed her sadness over the death of Liam Payne (1993-2024) on Instagram. The model is said to have had a brief relationship with the One Direction band member five years ago. So far she has remained silent about his death on October 16th, but now she commented on a post by Payne’s good friend Nicole Scherzinger (46) with sad emojis.

Scherzinger, who was on the jury when Payne was discovered on the talent show “The X Factor” in 2010, shared photos with him on October 25 and mourned the late singer. “It was so hard to process that you are no longer here, but I am grateful to have known your good heart, your sweet soul and your character,” it said, among other things. Campbell commented on the post with two white doves, a broken heart and praying hands.

Dating rumors in 2019

Naomi Campbell and Liam Payne were said to have been in a relationship for four months at the beginning of 2019 despite a 23-year age difference. The model and the pop star repeatedly attended the same events and publicly complimented each other on Instagram. In one of his pictures, Campbell described Payne as a “beautiful soul” while he raved about her as “perfection in one person.” When asked about the dating rumors, both said they didn’t want to comment on it, but didn’t deny the relationship either.

Liam Payne had previously been in a relationship with singer Cheryl Cole (41) from 2016, and their son was born in March 2017. On October 16, 2024, the musician fell from the balcony of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and died on site. He was only 31 years old.
