In the clips, Adele can be seen walking to Dion’s seat in a lounge at the Colosseum Theater at Caesars Palace during her song “When We Were Young.” She then stands up and hugs her colleague for several seconds, takes her face in her hands and speaks to her urgently. She then kisses Adele’s hands before she goes back on stage. The “Hello” interpreter seems visibly emotional about this encounter and is fighting back tears.

The arena in Las Vegas, where Adele has been regularly playing her “Weekends with Adele” show since 2022, was originally built especially for Céline Dion in 2003. She, in turn, resided there for four years with her “A New Day…” show and generated the highest-grossing Las Vegas performance of all time.
From 2011 to 2019, the “My Heart Will Go On” interpreter returned to the Colosseum Theater for a second residency. Adele also attended one of her shows at the time and shared her enthusiasm afterwards: “Queen Céline! What a show, an absolute highlight of my life, thank you very much for the attention you give to your audience and the crazy humor,” she wrote alongside a photo in a Céline sweater.
Adele counts Celine Dion among her great idols. In 2021, she revealed that her “most valuable possession” was the musician’s chewing gum, which her talk show host James Corden (46) got. “He knows what a big fan I am, so he asked her to spit a piece of gum into a piece of paper and framed it for me,” Adele said.
As part of her Las Vegas residency, Adele performs a total of 100 shows in the gambling metropolis, two per weekend. Her last appearance will be on November 23rd, after which she plans to retire for some time.
