Horror among Ricky Martin and Co.: Donald Trump’s election campaign show caused outraged stars with Puerto Rican roots.
At a campaign event for Donald Trump (78) in New York’s Madison Square Garden, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe (40) attracted the displeasure of numerous top stars with Latin American roots. Because he described Puerto Rico as a floating mountain of garbage in his speech, Jennifer Lopez (55), Ricky Martin (52) and Bad Bunny (30), among others, reacted with outrage on social networks.
J.Lo then immediately published a clip of Vice President Kamala Harris (60) in which she pledged her support to Puerto Ricans. Lopez herself has Puerto Rican roots, her parents come from there. With her Instagram stories, in which she also lists Harris’ planned relief measures for Puerto Rico, which has been hit by natural disasters, the global star reaches 250 million followers.
Ricky Martin and other celebrities are horrified
Martin and Bad Bunny also released this and other clips from Kamala Harris. “I will never forget what Donald Trump did – and didn’t do – when Puerto Rico needed a compassionate and competent leader. He abandoned the island and tried to block aid after several devastating hurricanes. Everything he What he offered was paper towels and verbal abuse,” Harris said in the videos. Bad Bunny also reaches over 45 million people on Instagram alone with his posts.
In about a week, on November 5th, Americans will elect the next president – or, in the person of Kamala Harris, the first female president in the country’s history. The election is considered to be extremely close. In the crucial states, called swing states, Trump and Harris are tied almost everywhere. Here, as was the case four years ago, a few thousand votes may decide whether to win or lose. The impact of posts like Jennifer Lopez’s, which reach an audience of millions, should not be underestimated.
