The “Bambi” awards are getting closer and closer – and Burda is announcing another winner.
A “Bambi” for Teddy Teclebrhan: The 41-year-old will be honored in the comedy category at the awards ceremony next week, as the media group Hubert Burda Media announced in Munich. “No one is safe from his humor: Tedros “Teddy” Teclebrhan is a master of revealing role play. When the son of Eritrean immigrants slips into the role of a person with a migrant background, he shows us a clichéd image that may be familiar to some people,” says it in the justification.
Teclebrhan fled the war of independence in Eritrea, Africa, with his mother and two older brothers when he was just seven months old and then grew up in Mössingen (Baden-Württemberg). He starred in various television productions and films, went on tour with his comedy program and, since this year, has the “Teddy Teclebrhan Show” on Prime Video in which he appears as a comedian, sings and dances.
The Bambi is awarded by Hubert Burda Media and is one of the most important media and television awards in Germany. It will be awarded on November 7th in Munich, and the gala will be streamed live from the Bavaria Film Studios on Prime Video. The award is expected to be presented in twelve categories this year.
