Investigations are currently underway because there are said to be serious security problems in the prison where Sean Combs is currently being held.

Investigators began a “multi-agency operation” at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on October 28, US media reported. As part of this, the security precautions in the prison where rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs (54) is currently waiting for the start of his trial next May in New York City are apparently to be checked.

No acute danger situation

According to the reports, investigators from various US authorities took part – including employees of the responsible prison authority, the Ministry of Justice and several law enforcement agencies. Officials said the operation was aimed at “achieving our shared goal of providing a safe environment for both our staff and the prisoners housed at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center.” This is a planned investigation and there is no immediate threat. However, exact details are currently unknown.

The prison currently houses around 1,200 inmates, most of whom are awaiting trials in Brooklyn and Manhattan. There have been increased security concerns in recent months after, among other things, nine inmates were charged in connection with several attacks and the killing of two fellow prisoners.
