Isn’t the US rock star a billionaire?

US rock star Bruce Springsteen comments on reports that he is in the league of billionaires. This is not the case.
From the beginning of his long and highly successful career, US rock musician Bruce Springsteen (75) has been considered the musical representative of the American little man, reflecting the hard and sometimes depressing lives of the working population in his songs. Springsteen himself has never denied that this is a big misunderstanding – after all, apart from small jobs as a house painter, he has worked almost exclusively as a musician in his life.
Nevertheless, the world-famous singer and guitarist does not seem to be comfortable with the fact that in July 2024 he was assumed to have a total fortune of around 1.1 billion US dollars and the headline read “Bruce Springsteen is now a billionaire”. In one, he now attempted to put this statement into perspective.
“Superfluous things” cause his wealth to shrink
There he said: “I’m not a billionaire. I wish I was, but that’s quite a bit of misinformation.” Without providing further details about his total assets for the purpose of correction, he suggested a variety of factors that prevented him from achieving this wealth status. Among other things, he stated that he had spent “too much money on unnecessary things”. He also pays his band a lot of money, which unfortunately causes his account balance to continue to dwindle.
