The head of the Superintendent of Health Services, Gabriel Oriolo, provided clarifications on the deregulation of the private health system carried out by the Government with Resolution 3934/2024 that authorizes only certified doctors to prescribe medications and treatments. “We are not going to focus on the usual medicine. We are going to put the focus on high-priced medicines,” said Oriolo.
The official, who worked more than 25 years at OSDE, assured that the measure will not apply to “open plans” of social works. “The spirit of the regulations has to do with ensuring the resources of a system and so that the resources really reach those who need them and not disperse them along the way as was happening,” he stated.
